Cancellation and Change Policy

To ensure smooth operations and fairness to all our clients, we have established the following policies for changes and cancellations of bookings.

Changes to booked time and training areas

  • If you would like to move your booked time to another available time slot, contact the Powerhouse Athletics staff at least 48 hours before your booking to make your request. If your new preferred time is available, staff will adjust your booking and send a confirmation email.

  • If you would like to change the area you have booked (ex. changing from the turf to the strength and conditioning area), contact the Powerhouse Athletics staff at least 48 hours before your booking to make your request. If your new preferred area is available, staff will adjust your booking and send a confirmation email with the new pricing. By requesting an area change, you agree to any changes in pricing.

Long-Term Schedule Changes

Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation Requests for Recurring Bookings and Contracted Bookings:

  • More than 15 Days Prior to Booking: If you cancel your booking at least fifteen (15) days before the scheduled date, a cancellation fee of 10% of the booking amount for that time slot will apply.

  • Less than 15 Days Prior to Booking: For cancellations made within fourteen (14) days of the booking date but more than seventy-two (72) hours before, a cancellation fee of 50% of the booking amount for that time slot will apply.

  • Less than 72 Hours Prior to Booking: Cancellations made less than seventy-two (72) hours before the scheduled date will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the booking amount for that time slot, and no refunds will be issued.

Recurring Time Blocks:

  • Repeated Cancellations: Continual cancellations of recurring time blocks may result in the loss of the reserved time slot. We reserve the right to reallocate or cancel the blocked time if cancellations are frequent.

Cancellation Procedure:

  • All cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent to info@powerhousehq.ca

  • The date of receipt of the written cancellation request will determine the applicable cancellation fee based on the timeframes outlined above.

Exceptions:

  • Any exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by Powerhouse Athletics.

One-off Booked Time Cancellations

  • You may cancel any one-off booked time with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations are made by email. Refunds will be processed with 4-7 business days.

Inclement Weather and Mall Closures

  • If the mall is open, then Powerhouse will open when our staff deems it safe.

  • We will communicate with our coaches and make decisions about our opening based on the operational decisions of Halifax Metro-Transit, Halifax Centre for Education and other similar athletic organizations. We reserve the right to determine whether we will open.

  • If the facility is required to close for maintenance or in unexpected situations, re-booking and cancellations will be discussed with affected clients.
